Our very own Volume mustachio-ed compatriot, Josh Clemens, got with our other Volume bearded compatriot, Zach Krejmas, with RIDEbmx and produced this awesome How-Tuesday. Here Josh walks through how to perform a proper and steezy lip slide. And Zach, per usual, is excellent behind the lens. Josh always has super smooth lines and can do these pretty much on anything so give it a watch, or few to get em down, and add some tech steeze to your lines.
Demolition rider Tyler Fernengel has been on fire for the past couple years and today Redbull dropped the final cut of the Tyler destroying the Silverdome just outside of his home town in Michigan. The Silverdome is a historic place that’s held some of the world’s top events, but in recent years has gone into disrepair, and is being torn down as I write this. There’s an interview with Young Fern about growing up racing in such an epic venue, and finally getting to give it a proper sendoff. Give it a peek and then head over to Redbull for the interview. One question; biggest truckdriver ever?
RIDEbmx just posted a “What I Ride” bike check with our Demolition man, Mike Gray. Mike has been killing it lately. Him and Fernengel have been feeding off of each other so much lately and making waves in BMX. Hit up RIDEbmx to see what Demolition parts Mike’s running right now to make him so smooth and technical. We honestly can’t wait for our colored Momentums. Yes! We’re finally doing more colors Momentums. We’ll have more info later on what colors.
Our newest Volume & Demolition distributor, Evolution BMX, just launched their brand new site and it’s CLEAN! They put a ton of work into it and it’s paid off. If you’re from or in Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia, or Bosnia-Herzegovina and looking for Volume and Demolition goods, then hit Evolution up. And if you missed it, then check out the bike check from our newest distributor rider, Matej Žan, from Evolution.
Volume’s “The Finer Things” is out, but we’re not stopping there. We’re going to be in Oregon for a bit towards the end of this month and we’re stopping at 3 awesome shops along the way; Gresham Bikes, Goods BMX, and Gonracin BMX. We can’t wait to get out there and hang out with you guys. There will be giveaways, riding, signings, and food at some of the stops. Gonracin is also doing a viewing of “The Finer Things” when it gets dark. Click the flyer to BIG and get all the details.
We’ve been so stoked on how the Volume Vader came out, and your response too as customers. While we’ve done it a ton of times, it’s still always a little nerve-racking when designing a rubber part. Since they’re all molds, once the mold is made, it’s made. There are very little changes you can make at that point, so the design process has to be spot on. That being said, we’ve been so pleased with the end product of the Vader. Not only in our’s and our rider’s own opinions, but also in you, as the customer’s opinion. It’s so grippy and fast with the knurling, wrap-around tread, and low-profile tread pattern. And on top of that, we’ve seen that it’s life-span is right on. So, if you haven’t, then check out the Vader for your next set.
If you’ve ever wondered who the people are that you talk to on the phone, pick/pack your orders, or just wanted to know who cracked all those stupid corny jokes with you on the phone while you fake laughed, then check out “Our Story.” We just updated it with our mission statement and staff bios. I’ve always loved when bike shops have bios on their pages of the staff. It’s always made it more personal, giving more connection, so we wanted to give that to you guys too. Plus, I just love the fact that we ride. That seems rare these days. (Oh, and sorry for the date over your face Brian. I’m sure there’s other photos of you in the world somewhere).
Demolition just dropped a fun fact about the Zero rim being their longest standing product. I know I rode them way before I ever worked here and still do. Now it’s weird to think I’ve been riding these rims for 8 years. Here’s what Demolition had to say:
“It honestly didn’t dawn on me till recently that our double walled Zero rim has been in production for over a decade. It’s literally one of our longest standing products that has stood the test of time. In the ever-changing world of bmx components and how things have developed into space-age metals and designs, the Zero rim is still strong as hell and still looks like any modern day rim today. Now available in Marble too, check out more on our iconic Zero rims here >>”
We want to wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day, especially our troops and veterans. Thank you guys for serving and giving us the freedom to set things on fire and do burnouts. You are badasses and we appreciate you. Photo Cred: Annika Herring & Dano Herring. Motorcycle: John Sepetjian.
Volume & Demolition want to welcome Matej Zan as a distributor rider through Evolution BMX. We just got on board with Evolution BMX to be our official distributor in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia. There has been some awesome riding coming out of Europe lately and Evolution is doing some big things out there, currently working on revamping their website, and they are great people to work with. They picked up Matej as their first Volume & Demolition distributor rider and we are stoked on him. He’s a clean, smooth, and tech freecoaster rider. Check out his brand new bike check and some smooth lines towards the end. I can’t tell you how stoked I am on this video. I love the Mogwai soundtrack, Matej’s smooth lines, and the vibe of the whole thing….If you’re in the any of these countries looking for Demolition and Volume products, then hit up Evolution or have your local shop hit them up for parts.
